Mike, Bob, et all, If we're talking about HPT, ol' 97 was one of the finest examples of an overpowered train I ever ran. The best of the best was an early seventies train with SEVEN new, or nearly new units. The consist was three 45's and four 40's with 68 cars totalling a whopping 2108 tons. Now with 22800 horsepower, let's see -------- what is the HPT??? Bob, Bill, is the name Niles Haar familiar to you ?? Karl [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
