I have a framed Picture/s of the flood from a "Burlington Bulletin" #
21 May-June 1965
That I picked up at the Ottumwa Show last year in March,
It has 3 pictures in it, one shows the Temporary bridge east of
Burlington, setting the last span in place on May 12 restoring the
mainline, one is a steam enigine # 4960 Pulling a train
at Savanna "for the Posed dandger to diesel traction motors in high
water, and the other is a track section washed out, says in the small
paragraph that the flood began to affect opperations Friday, April 9
at St Paul.
I don't know anything else, just what I was told years ago when I was
little, I was born in 65, In Savanna IL.
