Another identifying factor with the 1952 10-6's for the CZ, not only did they
have only 3 hallway windows, unlike their 1949 sisters, but they featured the
short lived sanders on the lead axle of each truck. If you look at photos,
you'll see the sand fill cover (stainess rectangle) near the vestibule. Close
to the car-line indicator glass. Sanders were included all other 1952 cars
such as the Kansas City Zephyr, American Royal Zephyr, and supplemental CZ
cars (i.e. Silver Lookout), Blackhawk 6-6-4's. That's always an easy way to
spot those early fifties cars. Unfortunately, some of the Shoreham Shops
models lacked this detail.
