I thought I would get in touch with local historical societies along
route
of Burlington & Missouri Valley to see if I could obtain some photos that
are
unavailable elsewhere. To that end I woud appreciate it if you could tell
me
whether that was the southernmost or other CB&Q route across Iowa, so I
could
get organized for this project . I have obtained three prints from Bat
Masterson of the locos in question, namely the Rogers built 0-10-0s
scrapped
in 1916. I believe that others probably exist because at the time they
appeared they were considered giant locos. That would have attracted
early
photographers who revelled in the" biggest and bestest" syndrome. I guess
because their customers did, but regardless of why I would like to get
underway in this pursuit... and would appreciate any information on the
B&MV
route so I can line up the historical societies. THANK YOU. Peter Boylan
