As far as I know the EL FM H 24-66's never ventured to the western part
of EL. The EL pool locomotives that I know of were all second generation
EMD and GE products. The earliest loco's would be GP35's and U25B's.
Even though the EL PA's and F units made it to Chicago, they were not
suitable for run through service. After some of the experiences the Q
had with the PC, I am confident that the language of the agreement with
EL required newer power.
However, it is your railroad and you make the rules. Don't get hung up
on what the critics have to say. Run your railroad the way you choose.
