Now at the other end of the spectrum was Lou Mitchells(still around and
enjoyable) and Binons(closed in last 3 years). Lou Mitchells is just down the
street from the "White House" and has an absolutely great brkfst.Bring an
apetite.
Binyons was on So. Plymouth or So Federal just a few blocks from Santa Fe
,UTLX Hdqtrs. and just a short ride from the Q ,Cnw or Gatx Hdqtrs. It was
known as a "railroad" place and specialized in Turtle soup(no lie and don't
laugh until you try it). The former President of UTC had a standing order for
a bowl(no cup would do).This is the same guy who left Canada as an 18 year
old and went to England,volunteered for the Royal Air Force and fought in
