Dear Gentlemen,

My Grandfather worked for the CB&Q for over 44 years mostly out of division
point Brookfield, Missouri. His name was Roy (Rocky) Ford. His last years
of employment were spent working as a conductor on passenger runs out of
Brookfield to the following cities: Kansas City, St. Joseph, Quincy. Roy
Ford retired in 1960. During my childhood until now I have taken photos in
Brookfield. I have a nice collection of photos with the eastbound Kansas
City Zephyr with domes. Numerous photos of trains with all merger partners
diesel locomotives pausing at the east end of Brookfield yards. Many of
these trains would have four or five different paint schemes in their
consist. I would love to find other photos of the Quincy to Brookfield,
line
and these other lines served west out of Brookfield, Kansas City, St.
Joseph, Milan, and Carrollton, Missouri. Hannibal, Cameron, Monroe City,
Bethany photos are also sought. I have seen numerous Burlington postcards
advertising the American Royal & Kansas City Zephyr on the Brookfield,
shortcut. I am also looking for a calender I had that was stolen. The
calender was from the mid 1930's with the Nebraska Capital tower in the
background at Lincoln. One of the first shovel nose Zephyr's was moving at
speed westbound. Some children were playing in a field next to the tracks.
I would be interested in purchasing this calender and numerous other
Burlington calenders or the pictures from them. If the Burlington Route
Historical Society could direct me in the right direction on all the listed
above. If there are individuals with CB&Q photo collections I would like to
contact them. I can be reached by net at DADRISKILL@A... or by phone at
573-696-3857.

Best Regards,

Rodger McKinney
