Sorry, I try not to, but sometimes forget that not everyone knows the RR shorthand. GUT was the telegraph symbol for Galesburg. It's just too easy to slip back into using them when the lingo starts flying. 75a was the "daily except Sunday wayfreight" between Why and Gt(there I did it again) (HY is Cicero). The old employee timetables give fairly good descriptions of what various trains purposes were. Leo |
