Since opinions are cheap and plentiful, here is one for fodder. I generally use the term "mineral red" for freight cars and consider it to be a true brown color. When I have been forced to mix it in the past it is close to 50/50 mix of green and red. The depot or "Indian red" is much more of a reddish shade. There was an insert for the Zephyr a while back that had color chips of the various structure colors that you may find useful. This reminds me of some forgotten comic, who when describing status used the comparison of a Toyota being maroon while the same shade for a Mercedes is Burgundy. Happy mixing!
