All - I'm not a modeler, but I guess you could add 1,000th part orange to the yellow paint to replicate the faded original, if that be the case - Louis

Color is so subjective, so I recommend you paint it the floor you feel is right. Who is going to question you about a crane when they see your layout?

Looking at it on my large monitor, I agree with Hol - fades orange.
