Is there anyone on the list who can answer the question below about Burlington Route tall globe lanterns that the Burlington Route Historical Society has received ?

I was wondering if you or anyone else has any knowledge of cast tall globe CBQ lanterns? Specifically, most have BURLINGTON ROUTE spelled out, cast on the top rim, regardless of the manufacturer. However, on the globes (and this includes the red and clear tall globes) I have seen Burlington Route cast into the globe with a rectangle around it, like what you would see on most BR signs, with the letters in the BR font, but also some with a rectangle that has rounded corners, instead of square corners. We are wondering which style was used first, and if there is any possibility to put a date on the two styles? Short globes came into vogue around 1922, so we know they would both be before that. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Thanks,
Leo Phillipp
