Ah, the memories. Riding the stirrups on those long moves through the Aurora plant to set out on the sheep yard lead. It always seemed to be well below zero. The aroma from cattle was bad but sheep……..!

Then there was that 4 or 5 AM set out at Polo in that cold March rain when the hogger advised “if the farmers aren’t there you will have to unload the stock”!?…. Never so happy to see their truck headlights come on as the cars reached the unloading chutes.

Was it ‘75,’77 or ‘78 when BN said no more to stock movements ?
