I presume it means whoever assembled this data needed to look further to see who the builder was, because the 491 in your example was built by Rogers in 1892 as part of the final batch of H-1s, numbered 480-499.  I don't know what sources were used to compile this roster, but all the published rosters show Rogers as the builder of that particular locomotive.

Question for knowledgeable friends and BRHS volunteers:

In the BRHS web site's Members Only space, Steam Engine Roster (New), search results, under the 'Builder' heading there are a lot of records that show 'see' as the builder.
Does anyone know why, or what this referred to?  Should 'see' be removed and replaced with 'Unknown' or some other reference?

Trying to take a small step towards improving the quality of this roaster data, --- with help of you knowledgeable folks.
