Course this is not about oiling, so no boo birds!
While Hy-railing it was really scary to hear a train come on the radio, in dark territory.
I had that a couple of times north of Cheyenne.
But its better, than not hearing one.

During my 41 year career I hit one track car (near Lariat, WY). Totally demolished it of course but luckily the track inspector got out before the crash.

I almost hit a second one (at MP 804 between Hardin, MT and Anita) but the track inspector got out and flipped the car off the track and onto its side just seconds before we skidded past in emergency. We gave him a ride home. :-)
