The Northwest's Own Phil Beach came up with a little further information:

...The 6/2/1918 time table shows trains 1 & 2 operating over CB&Q.  I do not 
have access to an earlier 1918 timetable...

Does anyone have some timetables from the 1915-8 era that might get us a little 
closer to the date? I will look and see if I have a _Railway Age_ volume that 
goes back far enough to cover the move of the _North Coast Limited_ from the 
North Western to the Q.
