I have found 2 files in the UTU files that would make a very interesting
article about a special service the Q ran between Aurora and Chicago. This
is new to me and I don't think it is widely known or remembered.
Does anyone have or know of a photo taken anywhere between Aurora and
C.U.S. of a train that consisted of either 2 or 3 baggage cars ? One would
have had a riders compartment in all likelihood. Depending on direction and
time of day train had either 2 or 3 baggage cars. If someone can come up with
a photo I can supply the history, details, purpose, etc of the run for an
article. Without a photo or 2 it wont be the same.
It operated in both steam and diesel eras.
If we can't find the specific train then maybe someone can supply one of a
dinky with more than one baggage car or a very short mail train ?
Thanks,
Leo Phillipp
