A number of people supply superb information to this list but the one who
continues to amaze me is our friend and fellow CB&Q fan Rupert Gamlen of New
Zealand. I had the pleasure of meeting him at a BRHS meet 2-3 yrs (he's been
to two as I recall?) ALL the way from new Zealand which is on the opposite
side of not illinois, the midwest or even the USA BUT the opposite side of the
earth! Talk about a dedicated fan! Not to mention all the serious research he
does from old books & magazines on the Internet that he shares, the information
he has compiled on early freight cars etc - all shared with his fellow
Burlington fans!
Imagine any of us, life-long Americans, providing similar material for a RR in
Australia or New Zealand - unbelievable! (and we also have some mbrs in
Scandanavia & Canada who deserve praise as well)
Thanks fellows!
Gerald
