Looking at the limited resources I have, I see that according to photo captions
both the CB&Q and UP (I have a book with a photo showing three tank cars with
big "UNION PACIFIC" lettering on the side) sent their own tank cars for
molasses loading.?
FWIW, in March 1952 the CB&Q sold two tank cars to the GW.? They were #230083
with a nominal capacity of 120,000 pounds, and #231580 with a nominal capacity
of 100,000 pounds.? I have read that over the years the GW had 31 tank cars.?
They bought some new in the early 1900's and I assume these were high walkway
tank cars.

Thanks to those who reminded me about Bulletin 32 and the fact it's all about
sugar beets etc. Hol Wagner took some great photos that are in there, but I'm
still unable to read who's black tank cars are in the trains. The orange ones
are GW's. I'm still looking for help on these as I want to model more of the
black tanks cars that seem to dominate in the trains. John
