I have one too.
I'll post an image of mine for discussion.
The case is brass and possibly a thin gold plate. You can see how tarnished it
is. The main engraving is similar but the edge design is different. I may clean
it up one more time and scan that as well for a closer study. The mechanism is
a South Bend Railroad grade movement from 1934 as I remember. I knew a
co-worker at EMD that was as into pocket watches as I was to trains. He graded
it for me. He said few of the better railroads considered it as acceptable for
thier use and it was toward the bottom of the list. Elgin's were of the highest
grade. The puzzling thing was that the case depicted a train that hadn't been
built at the same time as the movement. I was told that the 2 components could
be purchased at different times and custom assembled. Mine was once used on the
job by a Chicago Surface Lines Conductor, the grandparent of another EMD friend
who was a Pennsy N-scale modeler.

Hello to all,
Newer to the group and a fan of all trains streamlined. Especially Zephyrs
and Streamliners.
On the recent subject of CB&Q watches, a great story by the way, I have tried
many times to identify a piece I have had for some time.
I have uploaded a scan of a watch case into the photo album CB&Q Pocket Watch
Case.
Here is what I know about it.
It was found in the personal affects of my step-grandfather?? William who
worked for the Pennsy into the 60's. His father Emmett also worked for the
Pennsy into the late 40's. We found it in 1978 some modern chinese import crap
is out. Antique chinese import crap, possibly. Emmett worked on watches for a
hobby.
When found, it was a case only. Mom had a watch installed (although not
railroad grade) in the late 80's and gave it to me as a gift.
The engraving is very clearly the power on the Denver Zephyr, Silver King and
Quenn or Prince and Princess, IIRC, along with the transition baggage car on a
double track main. There are no other marking of significance.
Does anyone know of the origins of the watch case or have any knowledge about
it? Anyone else ever seen one?
