It made it to the BNSF time and as I recall lasted till sometime past 2000.

The engine that was converted to CAT power didn't make to the BNSF merger.
I think it was converted in the winter of 1986 or early spring of 1987. I
was at Havre from December, 1985, to March, 1988 when I left the mechanical
department. I think it was already stored serviceable at that time. If I
remember right the original plan was to convert three engines, but only one
was done.

had a HP rating of 4200 HP.
