- Ken, Yes, the CB&Q was rather mixed up in this regard. As it turned out "27394" ended up being the BN and now BNSF number for Council Bluffs. Gerald Edgar is sending me a copy of a 1967 book he has.

- All, In May of '67 the CB&Q switched from the two character alphabetic stations to a four digit alpha numeric system. As in Council Bluffs IA was "CB" but then it was "A492". Does anyone have an inde

- Russ, I have two books of station numbers, one dated 1952 and one dated 1968. The 1968 is all five digit numbers Council Bluffs being 27394. The 1952 book is a combination of one to four digit number
