[CBQ] John Olson

 I just received Steve Goen's book 'Passenger Trains of Texas- 
Burlington Route'. It is mentioned that when the Texas Zephyr was 
inaugurated it had modernized heavyweight Pullman's that were painted 
'Light Gray'. These were the 'Crest' & 'Range' series Pullmans which, I 
believe, were also used in the Zephyr Rocket trains. For years, I have 
wondered why these cars were painted Light Gray- and not Aluminum? The 
Burlington painted all the other SSS heavyweight cars Aluminum so they 
would better match the SS cars.
