Rupert - Yes, it's the same crane.  The video dates back to 2008 - Louis

Charlie, Dow and Rupert - I've checked all the Havelock images in BRHS Flickr and I could not find a one with a locomotive crane in it.

Wonder if the Museum folks in Waverly, NE, have tried carefully removing the paint layer by layer where the equipment number would've been painted to see if a number can be found?

Here are two links that show the crane in action:

Rupert and Dow-

Sadly, Joe Douda’s Company Service Roster somehow skips the numbers that are included in the 1917 ICC Valuation Report for Locomotive Cranes.   It does include Wrecking Cranes and Steam Shovels  but none of the numbers in the report.

Wreckers seem to have been mixed in with the same number series that do show up in the work equipment listings but that does not help ID any of these.

Thank you for the welcome, I’m happy to now be a member. And thanks for all the good info fellows.

After recently becoming a member, I did go through the Flickr group photos, and Unfortunatley, only found 2 photos of locomotive cranes. There are tons and tons of wrecking cranes, which I also really enjoy, but I am after locomotive cranes for my current project.

There has to be documents somewhere indicating what the Q owned, a work equipment roster of sorts…does anybody know where I could obtain such material?

thanks,

Dow
