Bryan, you’re not the only one who just got kicked. I had planned use 171 in my Zephyr Rocket for meal service between Burlington and St. Louis. The old adage came back to bite us – the more you know the less you can model.

Well, that's a kick in the pants. I hate to ruin the paint job on this car, but I may have to eventually.

No Q DA-6s were ever painted aluminum; the only CB&Q diners ever receiving aluminum paint were 171 and 176 for Chicago-Twin Cities service.  Most DA-6s never even got ribbon lettering In place of their RR Roman.
