Here is a photo of Earl Smutz and his “portable” office, taken in 1972 at Stockport IA. Earl was the agent in towns along the “Peavine Line”, which ran from Fort Madison to Birmingham Iowa. Towns included, Hills, Stockport and Birmingham, Iowa. He was provided a van to use as a office to serve the communities.
