The November 1941 date refers to when 9773 (baggage-mail) was converted from 9848 (passenger-baggage-mail).

 

Looking at the master copy, I note that I’ve added some details so I’ll forward a new version to Bryan for posting. If anyone can help with more data or photos, I’d be very grateful to hear from you.

Thanks for that great reference to the motor cars.

 

Interesting that some were built as late as November 1941.

 

I noticed that some were scrapped possibly as late as 1971.  

 

Does anyone know when the last run of a motor car occurred on the Q, C&S,  or FW&D???
