I couldn't agree with Denny more. You never know where you will find something.
Recently I was perusing an Illinois Central Annual Report for 1955. In a
supplemental table reporting leased lines was an entry for the lease of .07
miles of track at Frankfort, Illinois. The payee, Chicago Burlington & Qunicy
Railroad; the amount $85. The same lease payment for 1953, $67.

Encouraging the collateral attendance by members of other related
railroad historical societies has to be one of the most progressive,
attractive, and productive policies of the BRHS. Almost no one in our
hobby limits his or her interest to just one railroad, and this just
increases the total information pool (and attendance).
I wish others would do the same.
It is a flood that raises all boats (perhaps I should be mentioning
Dubuque in this way).
