Bryan, Webster says it is way freight, two words when describing a train that sets cars off or picks them ups;ong the way. There is truck company called Wayfreight Services that spells it as one word

Bryan, Just to muddy the waters a bit, my ETT of the Chicago and Aurora divisions No. 34 on the back page with the freight trains uses "way-freight" with the dash between the words. Eric Mumper _._,_
