At 300' of clearence it whon't get hit by river traffic but could be an aircraft hazzard. LOL, that probably is related to "Between 1992 and 2001, the bridge was struck 92 times." Randy -- Randy Gord

I'm assuming that the 300' is the horizontal gap, Cy. Even the Golden Gate Bridge out here on the Left Coast only has 220' clearance above mean high water, and aircraft carriers can pass beneath it (
