Glen, Suppose I should say this: While bridge could have been double track, (and now is), it was only single track in 1965. Switch was right at the east end of the bridge. -- Yahoo! Groups Links <*>

"Truncated" was a poor choice of words. I should have said shortened. The lines from Galesburg and Aurora originally (from 1904 on) paralleled each other from the Plum River bridge into Savanna where

Glen I think '64 would have been during the CTC project and the Plum River Switch to the Peavine was powered under the CTC CTC did not come to the Peavine until the '80s Railroad operations are full
