- There is a map on this page of where this ROW was with a few photos across the entire line. It shows a Doodlebug but not at the Gashland depot. There apparently was a book published about it as well.

- There have been at least two books printed regarding QO&KC. The earliest copyrighted 1983 by Ralph L. Cooper and Michael R. Johns was "Hogback Road - A History of the Quincy, Omaha & Kansas City Rail
