Crossing-checking this with Andre Kristopans, Tom Lundeen and Don Strack's excellent website ( http://utahrails.net ) shows that the builder # of GMCX 5579 was 24701, bldr date Jul 1958, frame # 5579

yeah, UP got a lot of the demos from a lot of the builders - in fact, this is one that was a favorite of UP modelers pre second release of Atlas as it was one you could do relatively easily from the
