I am modeling the K line from StL to Hannibal. I found that the Hannibal Connecting had a junction with the Q just south of the Hannibal yard and would like more info on this RR. Does anyone have inf

Hank, This RR was owned by the cement plant which was built about 1901. It did all of the interplant switching both in the quarries and the small yard. It was in business until the mid 60s I believe.

Hank, you can also find a modern (2003) picture of the cement plant, it still sits just south of Hannibal off of Hwy 79. Massive structure...the picture just doesn't really show how large it is... ht
