- Can anyone tell me whether the locomotives in use by CB&Q circa 1911 had cab lighting (and presumably headlights) from steam generated power (Pyle-National or similar)? They seem to have been coming

- About 1910 +/- various States started to require Electric Headlights on Locomotives other than Switching. For the Northern Pacific Ry. AFEs mentioning Electric Headlights start about 1904. -Hudson _.
