- Doug - That is apparently a photo of the Pioneer Zephyr during its visit to the D&RGW on June 16, 1934, when it passed through the Moffat Tunnel on its way to opening ceremonies for the Dotsero Cutof

- John, interesting. Thanks for the details. There are a number of photos for the Dotzero cutoff, but I have not looked at them yet. Now I need too as the celebration may be why Barriger was present. C

- Yeah, Barriger covered not only the dedication ceremonies for the Dotsero Cutoff in 1934 -- in which the 9900 participated -- but also the construction of the cutoff. There are many photos of both in
