Al A lot of the Q depots had a coal bin, (it was fairly large, held 2 or 3 tons), in the baggage/freight room, so they didn't have a coal shed. John D. Mitchell, Jr. _________________________________

I lived in depots when I was growing up. You're right about the plumbing -- just a sink with hand pump in the kitchen. I don't remember, but I suppose we had a bucket under the sink. Two-holer across
