Larry, I remember reading something years ago, but can't remember where. They had marks for just about everything. If you could get a meal at a certain house, if the RR police were friendly, etc. . S

Leo, The longest stretch I can remember being on was 45 days in a row with at least 3 or 4 double (work 2- 8hr shifts in one day) starts while I was on the Engineers Extra list in the 80's. Gary O.

The MILW did not come into LaSalle or Peru, but it did use trackage rights on the NYC to Howe. They ran steel trains from J&L Steel out of Hennepin. They also ran to Oglesby. Gary O.
