The specific SD45 that the hood was removed was mentioned in one of his older books. All I have to do is look for the book, and see if the # was the 6444 that the hood was removed from for this unit.

Also found a small blueprint in HO scale of a wide vision caboose. Series # 1100-1149. It's made from steel by MORRISON INTERNAIONAL, date on the print is 1962. It appears to be a Q waycar to me. --
