Here's a question for those with really long memories: I understand that the C.B.& Q. acquired the B&MoR RR in NEB in 1882, but did the latter operate as a nominally separate company for a while? If

Thanks for the information. A further question for anyone who can answer: what was the reason for owning the subsidiary lines for 20-odd years but operating them under a separate name? Up until 1900-
