There was a HT switch there in my time.  Probably an EL.  The old heads told me that originally Saluda was a processing plant.  Later it was just a drop spot for dead critters.  The original Saluda CTC control point was RR West of the County road, installed when they took the double track out.  They moved it to the RR East side of the road in the late 70's.

There appeared to be a concrete structure all weed grown and enough room for a siding.
