Why do you think this is a unit train of coal? All you can see in the phot=
o is about a dozen cars, It might be a cut of loaded hoppers at the front o=
f a regular mixed freight train.

The only place I could think of where a solid eastbound coal train like th=
is would be coming from is the Powder River Basin. Or is it coming from per=
haps somewhere else?=20

The bigger question I have, however, is whether these trains were started =
after the merger, or did some of these coal drags run pre-merger on the Q i=
n 1969 or early 1970?
