I can't seem to get the St. Joe depot photo up again, but I intended to not=
e that someplace along the line someone mentioned that St. Joe had "Electri=
c Busses"..indeed they did.=C2=A0 I remember when the electric buggies repl=
aced the "real" streetcars"=C2=A0 I well remember how upset I was by this i=
ntrusion.=C2=A0 =C2=A0I do remember those Electric Busses coming along I'm =
gonna guess late 40's.=C2=A0 They were unique.=C2=A0 in that since they rod=
e on rubber tires the trolley poles and over head wires had to be=C2=A0 "do=
uble tracked" since there was no metal rails to provide the return path for=
 the electricity.=C2=A0=C2=A0
Those electric busses ran at least through the=C2=A0 50's and maybe longer=
.=C2=A0 The old "Carbarn" was located along St. Joe Avenue in NE St. Joe no=
t far south of the=C2=A0 "Vinegar Bridge.=C2=A0 Tom Parisoff and other St. =
Joe natives will recall the 'vinegar Bridge which carried=C2=A0 a street ov=
er the CGW and to the Vinegar Works.=C2=A0 =C2=A0That carbarn building is n=
ow gone, but it was still there 10 or so years ago.
