Zephyr, thru the Rockies, a few times And while they are all wonderfully awesome rides,to date, nothing compares to riding the White Pass in 2012. I recommend the following books to get a insight into the History of the White Pass and the Yukon gold rush. The White Pass Klondike Fever I picked up both at the book store in Skagway after getting off the train. I had to ask for local history books and was directed to a lone book shelf off to the side. Both are really fast reads and "the White Pass" discusses the Q connections. As of my rider in 2012 the White Pass was still operating the Baldwins....... I rode behind one. A very busy operation at peak season with numerous extras running and double meets at more than one siding. Ps there is no better fish than fresh caught and served in Alaska !
