It really took me back (I hired out at Aurora shortly after). I had then or since never been around such a varied, unique, weird, unforgettable bunch of characters as found there. I still shake my head at what went on and the really consuming life we led.

latest Zephyr newsletter. Everyone thinks the daily life on the railroad
is routine, but like everything in life, there are always the random
curve balls that one always remembers and learns from. This was
especially true in passenger and commuter service.

If you have not read it yet, take the time to open your new Zephyr and
do so.
