Thanks, Mike. The end grabs aren’t true drop and the handbrake isn’t Miner. I’ll have to think hard before paying $55 for those hoppers. I can make the upgrades, but I’m not sure I want to at this point.

Walthers announced another run of the War Emergency Hoppers similar to the CB&Q HT-8. They show a side view, and from that, I would have to change the towing staples  and replace the oversized sill steps to bring it closer to the Q prototype. They don’t show a B end, so I can’t tell if the end ladder has drop grab irons or if it has a Miner handbrake. If anyone has a car from the previous run, please tell me about the end grab irons rungs and handbrake.
