Yep, Rich is right, I do have a preference for acrylics.

Also Tru-Color isn't readily available in Australia, and while I hope 
they stick around, not many of other RR-specific paints have survived, 
so it does make me wonder how long they will - sorry guys, hope I'm not 
jinxing you all.
So that's why I'm looking forequivalences from the bigger pan-hobby 
manufacturers like Vallejo and AK Interactive. They're acrylics, 
readily from multiple hobby shops in my home town, and their bigger 
market means they should be around for a while (famous last words).
I know most of you folks are in the US, so distribution of Tru-Color is 
hopefully less of an issue, and I didn't realise  Tru-Color had a 
decent range of CBQ paints - am glad to hear it, and maybe that'll be 
my plan B, but I would like to look into what can be done with acrylics 
to start.
Rich - thanks for those Vallejo suggestions and photos they look great! 
I'll add them into the "mix".
Anyone else using acrylics?
