Thread-topic:	Burlington Dining Car Recipe Book

I received my book today and skimmed through each chapter to see how practical the recipes would be for a senior single. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety and quality of many of the recipes. The French cuisine heritage is evident throughout, particularly in the use of creams, seasoned butters, glazes, and sauces. While the book is a fascinating window into culinary practices of the 1940s, and a wonderful companion for BB#77, as Tom so aptly stated, it has much to offer modern day cooks, especially old guys like me who need some variety in our diets.
