Here is the latest operations-oriented video on the HO scale Colorado & Southern Ry, “Denver Yardmaster”, episode 14.

Denver's Rice Yard is the heart of operations on the C&S Ry Northern Division.  If the yard crew keeps up the pace, everyone enjoys a smoothly running railroad.  But if not, everyone suffers.

 

All of this falls on the shoulders of the Rice Yardmaster.  With his direction, arriving trains are handled quickly and departing trains get out on time.  And he's a team player: running transfer drags, weighing newly-loaded cars, and serving as brakeman on his side of the yard.

 

Watch as our veteran Yardmaster shows us the ropes.  Can he keep up the pace?  Will the yard crew deliver?
