Rich: Not having watched the process with the detector cars , this is pure speculation, but my guess would be a Burro crane or some kind of Hi-rail mobile crane to handle the ramp.(Such a crane could also handle the cars without an attending ramp)  A side boom bull-dozer could also handle a timber ramp if one was available.  Fortunately, once the cars were transported to a given area, they would spend most of their time on the track. Although thte article did not mention the particlars of the test cars in transit, again, my guess is that they had been recently shopped and were headed out for their next assignment.  This poses the question as to where the Q system MOW equipment was serviced and repaired, much like the car shops at Havelock or the waycar shops at Hannibal?  Jim Sandrin
