Description: This shot appeared in Central Electric Railfans' Association Bulletin 114 ("Iowa Trolleys") and depicts Mason City & Clear Lake freight motor 34 handling a healthy cut of freight cars (including a mix of CB&Q stock cars trailed by reefers) on Main Street, Clear Lake in September 1940. The 34 was a 1912 product of McGuire-Cummings which was active until the 1950s and then used as a storage shed until destroyed in the 1967 barn fire.
